Today’s workspaces are different, and we think their storage should be too.
Many of today’s office spaces cater to what’s called a ‘Free Address” environment. What this means is that most employees don’t have the traditional cubicle space or desk that traditional office spaces used to have. The new office environment is much more fluid and dynamic. When employees come into the office, they have their choice of where to sit each day. Typically there are multiple options to choose from depending on personal preferences. If you prefer to spread out, maybe a longer table would work best. If you prefer to have some privacy maybe a small meeting space will be the best fit for you. This new office layout is very adaptable, and the storage in that space should be too.
Day Use Lockers are not a new concept for the office environment, but what you can do with Day Use Lockers is. In this blog post we will highlight what makes our Day Use Lockers different from our competitors, as well as what we can do with our Day Use Lockers – which is what truly makes our product so unique.
Many office spaces have poorly made lockers that have a hard time closing properly, don’t match the company’s brand or aesthetic, and are bound to be replaced within five to ten years of purchasing. Our Day Use Lockers are different – they are made with a fully welded 18 gauge steel frame and have double paneled 20 gauge steel doors. These sturdy lockers are then enveloped in high pressure laminate that can match any brand colors or room aesthetic. They come in increments of 1 inch in any direction, they can include slope top, hooks, USB ports for charging, and more. You can also include a Wall of Awareness into your bank of lockers that has a TV monitor where employees can see company announcements, the weather, a calendar of events, etc.
Not only can we make storage look aesthetically pleasing, but we can make it not look like storage at all.
Day Use Lockers have traditionally been found at the front of an office space, and standing against a wall. Another solution typically found in office areas are islands or workstations in the middle of large rooms that people use for quick meetings or as a table for various needs.
Why not combine the two? With office spaces getting smaller, and company sizes growing, there isn’t much room to spare when it comes to storage. We have taken our space saving concept and applied it to every nook and cranny within the typical office environment. One of the ways to save some extra space is to use these islands as storage by incorporating Day Use Lockers, Shelving, or even Drawers into these islands. You can even include a wall of awareness.
Wall Partitions:
Wall Partitions are another solution for incorporating Day Use Lockers into other storage solutions. These Wall Partitions can include a bench, can have a back or no back, can include a wall of awareness, and can help section off areas of the room in a non-obvious, aesthetically pleasing way. Include a drop down table and space for stools and make it a pop up meeting space.
Traditionally we have been known for our High Density Mobile Shelving. We have successfully saved space across many markets with our storage solutions, and we weren’t going to stop here. In order to save space for this market, we have taken the High Density Mobile Concept and applied it to walls.
The main benefit to using these walls is that they allow you to adjust the size of your space on the fly. If you have a large meeting you can move the wall down further to open up more space. If you have a more private meeting you can move the wall closer so you are in a smaller section of that area. What’s more is that you can include so many features on these moveable walls that will help in any meeting. A few examples include whiteboard walls, cork boards, tv monitors, cubbies for benches and additional seating, drop down tables, day use lockers, and more.
